Study by the University of Applied Sciences Dresden on behalf of Busatis was presented in the “VDI-Bericht No. 2060”!

In 2008, Busatis and the University of Applied Sciences Dresden (Germany) started a series of studies to improve the cutting process of forage harvesters. During tests the grinding effort of forage harvester knives was reduced to one-quarter without increasing the fuel consumption. At the same time, the knife life was extended by 50 percent.

VDI, the Association of German Engineers, reports on the study, which was also presented at the International Conference on Agricultural Engineering "LAND.TECHNIK – AgEng 2009" in the run-up to the Agritechnica 2009, the exhibition for agricultural machinery in Hanover.
